Join other volunteers at Metro’s Native Plant Center in various propagation activities. Volunteers will help plant native seeds, transplant young seedlings into pots, set out plants (weather dependent) and/or assist in maintaining the native seed field beds. This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity and a great way to learn more about Metro’s native species conservation program. Come prepared to get dirty and dress for the weather. Prior gardening experience is not required. Gloves, tools, water and a snack will be provided.

Native planting at Tualatin Hills Nature Park

Last year park staff and volunteers removed invasive blackberry from along the Creek Trail. Now it is time to plant native trees and shrubs that will give blackberry a run for its money. Bring set of loppers and heavy-duty work gloves, if possible. Refreshments will be provided.
